Blogging is something which I am quite new to. I am not really sure that anyone will really be interested in what my opinions are about the world of education but it just seems quite amazing that it is now so easy for anyone to publish things which can then be read by the whole world!

In recent years I have become involved as a governor in a two different schools. For a while I was chair of governors at a local middle school which was facing a number of challenges. This was extremely rewarding but it was not easy to devote the time needed whilst working and I felt that it was in the best interests of the school for me to resign. Any school facing challenges like this needs the full attention af everyone, and the ideal person to be chair of governors will be available at almost any time. Perhaps when I am retired I will return to the role of governor!
